Well- This evening, at about 5:15, Aeli and I began our first Mother/Daughter evening as Ted and Justin left for their first Fathers/Sons camp-out. I am pretty sure that Aeli could tell she was getting left out of some great adventure. I tried to tell her we could hang out and watch chickflicks together. She complained. So I said we could watch Transformers. That seemed to make her feel better. She ate dinner while mine cooked and then she ate some of mine when it was ready. After that she played in the living room while I watched some TV. At about 7pm she fell over and landed (on her bum) on top of a plastic toy screwdriver. This offically ended our first Mother/Daughter evening. She was too tired to recover. Now it is just a "mom gets to hang out" evening. :) We had a fun hour together, during which she walked across the living room by herself for the first time. (it was the short distance, not the long distance) YEAH!
That is all I have for now. Ted didn't take a lunch because he figured they would be home by then. It is a short outing, but it is Justin's first camping trip (that he will remember in anyway) and it is just he and Dad. I'll post again when I find out how it turned out.
