Old BaldyLast year we promised Justin that we would go to the beach and see some lighthouses. Last week was our last chance to make the trip before school started. We had a lot of fun. Justin and Aeli climbed all the way to the top of Old Baldy. There were lots of stairs and everyone was impressed that they made it. There are other pictures here
This lighthouse is still in use and has an age restriction for entering it. We assumed it was because of all the stairs and ship ladders you would have to climb. It turns out it is because the government used lead-based paint. Do they think the kids are going to lick the walls or something?
